As a dealer in 17th to early 20th century oil paintings, John Bennett
has over thirty years experience of the London art market. He was at
a London Auction House for over ten years culminating in being head
of paintings, responsible for the appraisal, cataloguing and valuing
of many thousands of oil paintings from the 16th to early 20th centuries
and then conducting their sale through auction.
This was followed by a period working with a West End Old Master paintings
dealer from which he moved on to working independently, primarily selling
to the European trade. In 1998 he opened his retail gallery in Walton
Street, Chelsea, but has recently left it to deal by private appointment.
As a member of the prestigious British Antique Dealers' Association,
he will be showing at their fair at the Duke of York's in Chelsea, London
in March 2007.

and images showing the frame. One should remember that the dimensions given
are of the painting and are not those for the overall framed size. We ship
all over the world and it is a quick and efficient service.
