| GOLDSTEIN, W B von W B von GOLDSTEIN Exhibited 1911-1913 English School On the Seine, Paris Oil on canvas signed and dated 1907 26 x 37 cms
He lived at 2 Stowe House, North End, Hampstead and can be described as an artist influenced by the post-impressionist school which was sweeping away the Victorian tradition at that time. This was typified by a lighter, airier colouration and a more free style of paint application as seen in artists such as Sir George Clausen and Stanhope Alexander Forbes. He exhibited three times at the Royal Academy and fifty times at the Baillie Gallery with such titles as: “Roses”, “Stocks” and “An Interior”. Price: POA |
