W B von Goldstein was a painter of diverse subject matter showing subjects that covered landscapes, river and coastal scenes, interiors and floral still life.

He lived at 2 Stowe House, North End, Hampstead and can be described as an artist influenced by the post-impressionist school which was sweeping away the Victorian tradition at that time. This was typified by a lighter, airier colouration and a more free style of paint application as seen in artists such as Sir George Clausen and Stanhope Alexander Forbes.

He exhibited three times at the Royal Academy and fifty times at the Baillie Gallery with such titles as: “Roses”, “Stocks” and “An Interior”.
